High quality faithful reproduction of original designed by Bertoia in 1952. Comes with a leather seat cushion.
After teaching jewellery and metal work Bertoia joined forces with Charles and Ray Eames for the Evans Product Company and experimented with molded-plywood seating
In 1950, he established a studio in Pennsylvania and introduced his famous "Diamon" and "Wire" chair made of welded steel lattice work.
The success was immediate and in the mid-50's the royalties he received for these chairs allowed him to devote himslef exclusively to his sulpting career.
